The foundation of our homes’ energy efficiency is the high-performance building envelope, built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). SIPs are a superior building material consisting of a rigid insulation core bonded between two layers of 12mm OSB board, creating an incredibly strong, airtight, and well-insulated structure.
We offer two levels of thermal performance:
Standard Build (BER A2)

SIPs System: Features panels with a minimum 125mm insulation core.

Performance: Achieves exceptional U-values (e.g., Wall U-Value of 0.15 W/m²K) across the entire building envelope, significantly exceeding standard building regulations and forming the basis of an A2 BER rated home.
Passive Upgrade (BER A1)

SIPs System: Upgraded panels with a minimum 200mm insulation core.

Performance: Delivers superior U-values (e.g., Wall U-Value of 0.11 W/m²K), meeting the stringent criteria for a BER A1 rating and Passive House performance levels.
Combined with triple-glazed windows and doors throughout, this creates a draft-free, thermally stable home that is cheap to heat and comfortable to live in.
2. Modern, Efficient Heating & Hot Water
We utilise the most effective heating technologies to match the performance of the building fabric, ensuring low running costs and superior comfort.
How Infrared Heating Works:
Our homes feature high-efficiency Infrared Heating Panels from our partners at Infrared Heating Ireland. Unlike traditional systems that warm the air, infrared works like the sun—it emits safe, natural rays that directly warm people, objects, and walls. This radiant heat creates a more comfortable, draft-free environment, and because it heats the fabric of the room itself, the warmth is felt consistently.
Included in All Builds:
- Primary Heating: Infrared Heating Panels as described above.
- Hot Water: Provided by a highly efficient Thermodynamic Solar Panel, which uses ambient air temperature to heat your water year-round.
3. Enhanced Energy Systems
Passive Build (BER A1)
To achieve the ultimate in efficiency and comfort, our Passive Upgrade includes two advanced systems:
1. PV Solar System
To drastically reduce your reliance on the grid and your running costs, this upgrade includes a complete solar energy solution.

This power contributes to running your infrared heating, lights, and all other household appliances.

Dramatically reduces your grid electricity consumption, energy bills, and carbon footprint.
2. Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR):
Airtight homes need smart ventilation. Our Passive Upgrade includes an MVHR system that continuously extracts warm, stale air from wet rooms (like kitchens and bathrooms) and supplies fresh, filtered air to living areas and bedrooms.

The magic lies in the heat exchanger, which transfers heat from the outgoing air to the incoming fresh air, recovering over 90% of the warmth that would otherwise be lost.

The result is a home that is constantly filled with fresh, clean air without any draughts or heat loss.
